H1B Visa Interview 2015 2016 – Document Checklist before interview
Use the below Guide for a quick checklist before you go for a H1B visa interview in any consulates across the world. Candidates who ensure who follow below checklist will have no worries in visa interview regarding documentations asked, as 90% of the times only below documents are asked during visa interview.

MOST IMPORTANT AND MANDATORY DOCUMENTS TO CARRY:
Original Passport including all old original passports
DS-160 Confirmation Page (ensure CEAC Bar Code is visible)
Copy of VFS Interview Letter along with the FEE paid Receipt Number as well
I-797, H1-B Approval Notices from current and all previous employers
Photocopy of entire current passport and previous passports if any, including blank pages
Original Signed Offer Letter from the employer with correct Address.
Recent Photographs
Additional Documents for H1-B interview (For Consulting Job ):
Letter from Client Company regarding the project details, project length and Job role your would be performing along with the location specified.
Copy of the contract between Client Company and Employer.
Letter from your H1B Employer with detailed description of your roles , responsibilities and position held.
Other Optional Documentation necessary for H1-B visa interview:
All previous H1 petitions filed by your previous employers stating job title and job description
I-129 Document from Employer to USCIS
Income Tax returns from last 2 years.
W-2 forms for last 2 years.
6 months Pay stubs from your present employer. Most recent pay stub should not be more than 30 days old
Letter to USCIS by Employer
Photocopy of Social Security Number
Photo copy of Labor Condition Application (LCA)
Last 6 months Bank statements, showing the proof of your pay checks
Latest Resume
Copy I-94
All I-20’s and EAD Card if on F-1 .
All academic certificates from school, college, university, degree and post-graduate degree certificates, mark-sheets and transcripts. Carry 1 Photocopy of the same as well.
Experience letters and service letter from previous employer.
Recommendation Letters from previous employers/ clients, if available
H1-B sponsor’s last two year tax returns
H1-B sponsor’s unemployment wage reports
Photographs of your work location inside and outside.
