H1B visa ,Greencard Folks Update your Address to USCIS without Fail AR11 form
Every time you move to a new address . All aliens (non-U.S. citizens) who are in the U.S. ex:H1b visa,H4,L1B,J1 are required to provide USCIS their new address within 10 days of moving. This is mandatory and must be updated without fail.
Address updates can be submitted by completing Form AR-11 at www.uscis.gov/ar-11 and mailing it to the address listed on the form. Or you can submit your change of address electronically at https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa. If you have submitted any applications to USCIS that are still under processed, you should send a letter to the office that is processing your application to let them know that about your new address.
Even if you are on a Green Card you need to update the address without fail to avoid legal issues.
What you’ll need to File AR11 address change:
- Receipt # (only for pending case)
- Date and location of entry into the US (if not a US citizen)
- Old & New Address
