H4 EAD Folks – Know your Rights !
H4 EAD candidates should know their rights and ensure you report if any discrimination based on your EAD status for employment.
Apart from some jobs which needs US Citizens due to security clearance requirement , all other jobs which only requires Legal authorization to work in US would be eligible for H4 EAD candidates just like GC candidates.
If any Desi employer or any other employer wants you to disclose or wants your EAD copy before issuing a job you can let them know that you are legally allowed to work throughout US without sponsorship. If they insist on providing copies of EAD before issuing the job and deny job because of the fact that you have H4 EAD , You could report of any Employment discrimination at the below address.
H4 EAD candidates can work for Fulltime,partime ,contract for any employer anywhere in the US.H4 EAD candidate is responsible to renew the EAD card and employer should not have concerns on the same as long as you are legally authorized to work.
You only need to provide the employer the needed information required to fill the I9 form.
You can report if:
Your employer refuses to allow you to start work because it will not accept the valid and acceptable documentation you presented to complete the Form I-9 or because you do not have valid and acceptable documentation on your first day of work.
An employer refuses to hire you because you are not a U.S. citizen, even though you have legal authorization to work in the United States
An employer hesitates to hire you because it does not believe that you are authorized to work in the United States.
